Background
In 2022, the City of Des Moines was awarded a Housing Action Plan and Implementation Grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce to develop a Housing Action Plan. Des Moines is one of 66 cities across the state that received a grant to develop a Housing Action Plan.
The Housing Action Plan consists of two parts: a Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) and a Housing Action Plan (HAP) and requires significant public engagement.
